Torel 1884 Suites & Apartments

Incredibly attentive staff, great location in the heart of Porto. Accommodating staff arranged airport transfer, organized tours, and packed substantial togo breakfast meals for days when we had early outings before breakfast hours. Room was very nice with the exception of no bathroom counter space and low bathroom lighting. Restaurant staff was fantastic for breakfast buffet and catered to our needs. Definitely would stay at Torrel 1884 next time we come to Porto. Staff and service was A++++!!!!

Beautiful hotel with only 12 rooms in the main building which is amazing. High ceilings with enormous windows and beautiful decor. The rooms were a good size with everything you might need including coffee machine, mini bar and very comfortable bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They arranged a walking tour of Porto with a guide called Francisco.We went to places we had never seen and found it just that bit more interesting than usual tours. Breakfast was a la carte with lots of choice including cold meats and cheese, cereals, fresh fruit , cooked eggs and pastries.The breakfast staff were excellent and full of tips and advice on the menu. We also ate in the restaurant and had a great meal. The location is ideal, easy to walk to most places and close to the subway station and buses.

Exceptional is the code of Torel 1884 Porto and staying there certainly lived up to that mark in every aspect! From the very moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends returning. The entire property exudes a quiet luxury that is evident everywhere you look. We just loved our beautiful room, with its beautiful big windows, huge bed and gorgeous furnishings. The library is a most delightful place to sit and read, or just contemplate life, with a cup of tea under the beautiful dome skylight. What a treat! But most of all, to every member of the wonderful Torel 1884 team, we have to say a huge thank you. You were all amazing, and our 3 night stay truly was exceptional.

Room was beyond my expectations. Staff were super. The "apartments" are the cheaper options and are in a parallel pedestrian street to main hotel but you can still use hotel. Highly recommend. Shower fab. Plenty of space. Kitchenete, sofa, table and chairs and high half timber room in my room. Oh. and they left a complementary bottle of cava in the fridge! Plus a plate of sliced fruits. Food in hotel was fab. Made the mistake of having breakfast out in street and wish I had opted for hotel.

What truly set this property apart was the staff. Their professionalism and warmth made my experience memorable. A special shout out to Daniel, Tiago, and Miguel at the restaurant. Their dedication to ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for was evident in every interaction, making my stay exceptionally comfortable. The studio apartment, with its well-designed space, provided a perfect balance of comfort and functionality. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing for the convenience of preparing meals, which was a nice touch for longer stays​. Lastly, the aesthetic appeal of the hotel, both inside and out, added to the overall charm and elegance of my stay. It's clear that Torel 1884 values both aesthetics and guest comfort, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a blend of style and substance.
